Rollaboyz "Size Does Matter 2" Cruise 16/04/01

The first "Size Does Matter" Cruise was held about this time last year and was a milestone in itself for the |RB| club because it was there biggest cruise ever. It attracted 25 cars and about 40 people. Not bad for the club back then when it was just in its infancy. They decided to make this cruise an annual event and it turned out to be a huge record breaker. A huge 119 cars and over 250 people shwed up, which smashed |RB|'s previous record of 52 cars set at the Midnight Cruise one month beforehand. Fresh from the [CABIN] Perth Auto Salon, most of the attendees were keen to cruise and check out some of the local talent. A number of clubs/groups attended the cruise to help make it the huge event it turned out to be. These included the Speedworks crew, All Fours and Rotaries Car Club, the S13 Club, and the Hyper Car Club of WA(an excel club the shame of it). The actual cruise was exactly the same as the year before. It started in the undercover carpark at the Galleria Morley shopping centre. It was amazing to see how many cars and people were turning up for the event. The cruise went along Tonkin Highway, through Burswood, Perth, Fremantle, Applecross and finally ended at the Parliament House Carpark. All went well, without many hiccups(ie the cops coming at the last stop to handout canary yellows). The major problem being that the cruise map was initially worked out for only 20 odd cars, and with over 120 cars it did cause heaps of congestiona, but most people were mature enough to make it good time for all. Almost every carpark regroup looked like a mobile car party. Pretty insane!
Some of the cars included the gorgeous R32 GTR 'Need4Speed' and the mighty Silvia S13 'JUN' which is the fastest street legal Silvia in the Australia, runs low 11's for the 1/4 mile

Rollaboyz 'My Way or the Highway Cruise' 20/05/01

The idea of this cruise was to have as little regroups as possible and more continuous driving. Rollaboys site was down for a week before this cruise but nevertheless it turned out quite well wit 47 cars counted and well over 100 people in attendance.
The cruise started out with a light drizzle but that did not dampen the |RB| spirit. We came for a cruise and nothing was going to stop us! Even Channel 31's 'Cruzin' film crew decided to join in on the action. Soon after, we headed to the start of the freeway. Slow speed limits were attained, as |RB| wanted everyone to be on the freeway at the same time - a tad bit hard when you have 47 cars. Once most of the cars were grouped together we moved up to the 100km/h speed limit with a few bursts of acceleration once in a while. With Dabeast dragging a couple of Rollas and watched in awe at the power of the 'nd4spd' R32GTR. Next regroup at Quarry Park was a little muddy but by this stage the sun was making its presence felt.
The next stage of driving we didn't see one set of traffic lights and my applause goes to everyone for driving sensible in those winding wet roads although a few people did lose a bit of traction.
The cruise ended at the Stirling Shopping Centre carpark in Balcatta. There was only a minor incident on Roe Highway when a member was cautioned by the boys in blue for going just a little over the limit. Lucky SOD. Another great cruise by the Rollaboyz Keep It Up Guys!!!

RollaBoyz Dyno Challenge 09/06/01

The dyno day is always an event people look forward to. It must be the thrill of thrashing someones car with the objective of pulling as much power out of it as you can which attracts a crowd. The dyno (dynometer) is a good tool to use when comparing cars performance and of course for tuning. Obviously in a dyno competition such as this, the sole objective is to acheive more horsepower than your competitors.

This year, the dyno day was held at Myaree dynos. There were 26 cars in the run for the for maximum power output on the day. The highest on the day was to an absoulutley gorgeous R32 GTR which pumped out a whooping great 474hp at the rear wheels. Congratz to Glenn Sumich and his beast. I mainly went to see what power DaBeast actually had as i had suspessions about the power reading I got when I ha the dump pipe installed. I ended up with 210 rwhp which isn't to shabby for a car with level of tune.

Skylines Down Under 3rd Cruise 9/6/01

It was a rainy evening and we all met up for chat and a cruise at City West underground carpark. There where about 12 cars show up vary from R31 sedans to R33 gtst's with a very kewl gun metal grey R32 GTR "nd4spd" being the centre of attension. Unfortunately i was oncall at work and was called in. The rest of the guys and gals went on to have a cruise out to Scarborough beach and the surounding areas.

Rollaboyz 'Remember the Pasta' Cruise 01/07/01

This was a good cruise about 40 cars or so and acouple of the SDU boys showed up. It was to commerate the events of a year before where some takaway noodles ended up in the gutter of the Omni Dome. The meeting place was packed due to a Eagles games at Subi Oval.
Kyles was my most skilled navigator on the day as we weaved our way out of the city and up the cost to Mindarie Keys for a couple of stops to regroup. One where (whoops) i led everyone to the wrong carpark hehe gotchas.
After that we headed out to Wanneroo and then back to the city. Kyles developed the mother of all headaches so we departed on the second to last stop. The Azz man was there showing off his 2 new 10" subs and it rocked.

SkylinesDownUnder DRAG DAY 22/7/01

Well about 12 skylines showed up for our first drag day. Only 6 of us raced but it was heaps of fun and enjoyed by all. For most of the guys this was there first at the dragz and they caught on very well. Great job fella's, as far as we know there was only one casualty on the day. Gianni blew his clutch and had to have the car towed I think. Apart from that the day was incident free with many a skyline victory over stupid crummidores and falcoons. Chris in his beautiful Silver Tommy Kaira R33 GTS-t was the fastest on the day, with a time of 13.71 for the 1/4 mile. My best for the day was 14.2 which is my best ever time so i'm stoked as it was a fairly hot day. Kyles even jumped for a run but didn't go through with it as she got a little scared.
